A few years ago, I was concerned with the black marks on
the gym floor as well as on the brand new white tiled
classroom floors. The Maintenance team was reporting the
amount of time they were spending on cleaning up the
black marks on the floor. I was concerned with the
changing styles of shoes for the students. I felt they
were both unattractive and in some circumstances,
dangerous.
I learned that FLOCCO SHOES in Conshohocken provided
shoes for two of the local Catholic High Schools. I met
with Joe Flocco about the possibility of providing shoes
for an elementary school.
I can only tell you that this was one of the most
popular decisions reached by the school. The parents
were happy that they no longer had to fight with their
children over styles. Maintenance was happy that the
black marks were no longer an issue. FLOCCO added the
convenience of measuring the students at school. It was
a WIN WIN situation. I strongly recommend the FLOCCO
program. It makes life easier and happier for everyone.
